Another case that makes you shake your head. This man who killed 3 people on Christmas Day in 2007 is suing the family of the victims a 2nd time This happened locally in Spring Hill. He claims it was the victims fault even though he plead guilty and was sentenced to 12 years. The police investigation stated that he was not only drunk but had cocaine in his system. They say he did not even apply the brakes when he ran into the back of the victims car going around 70 mph as they were stopped at a red light. The head shaking part is when they mentioned his past record. Records show that Belniak has been arrested on several DUI charges over the last few years. In one case, officers found a gallon of the intoxicant GHB, commonly known as the "date rape" drug, while searching his vehicle. He served 17 months in prison for trafficking the drug. He also hit and killed a pedestrian in 1994. He was not charged in that case. Scary to think that there are people like this still allowed on the road much less be free.
