Another daunting scientific challenge solved . . .by someone who undoubtedly did his homework, went to college, pursued his dream of being a professional biologist, earned advanced degrees, and spent a lifetime developing a deep knowledge base and gaining scientific skillsets. We need a lot of these kind of people to solve real life problems. He found a way to stop an invasive species without killing the rest of the natural world in the process. Without this kind of person dedicated to a lifetime of pure and applied scientific knowledge, wed all be in a helluva fix. When we denigrate and defund education in this country, that is truly the epitome of shooting ourselves in our collective foot.
