Another exciting day for the Old Farts!! We went to Oneonta Tractor Supply this afternoon to pick up a few things we needed. On our way back home, as we passed Davis Gun Works on Hwy. 231, I noticed black smoke...then noticed someone running into the shop thru the side door. Al yelled at me to turn around...well on that stretch of the Hwy., there is no place to turn around, so I went to the first road to turn around (which is where Ed Copeland has a small produce stand). I pulled in and AL jumped out and ran up to Mr. Copeland and asked him if he had a cell phone...he did...Al told him the Gun shop was on fire and to please call 911. We turned around and headed back to the gun shop, and found the owner laying on the ground outside the side door. We got him up, and away from the building, into the truck in the air conditioning. The poor guy was beside himself and kept wanting to go back inside the building. Al kept blocking him from going back inside. Thank God no one got hurt. So please...when you get a min. say a little prayer for this man and his family. Thank you!!
