Another exciting days racing with multiple breakaways being chased down. Nico Roche warded the most aggressive rider whilst Gallopin managed to hold on to a 10 second lead for long enough to get France a stage win. Meanwhile at the back Talansky barely avoided elimination on time as his own team led the racing at the front without him. Disappointingly the peleton chose to roll in with little or no challenge to Nibali yet again. Cancellara has climbed off claiming he wants to concentrate on Septembers World Championship, but I think hes just embarrassed at riding in 34th. What does this mean for the league? Well Nibali is looking increasingly dominant in Yellow as his main challengers all retire, and Sagan is still strong and appears to have the Green sewn up already. Consequently Lescargot have more points from these two riders than Vulture Squadron have in total. Vulture Squadrons best rider is Kittel, but were now in the mountains for ages. In GC Kwiatkowski is the best placed rider but is also in Lescargot, and Costa is in Van Brian. Living for stage wins from the likes of Voigt then. Van Brian are hoping that Valverde, currently 3rd overall, will mount some attacks in the mountains. In fact I think we all are!
