Another great Lebanon resident passed away on September 8th. Frank owned a local gun shop and will be missed by all that knew him. LEBANON, Maine - Francis Wayne Meattey, born May 2, 1953, the son of the late Francis and Gloria (Blaisdell) Meattey. Francis, who goes by the name Wayne, passed away after suffering a long time of illness on September 8th. He was taken care of by his wife of 37 years of marriage, Kim Ann Meattey (Holmes) and his daughter June A Wanjiru Wooden (Meattey) along with her husband Reginal Wooden and grandsons Kado Thanh Nguyen, Marcus Gachunga Wanjiru, and Josiah Wayne Wooden. Wayne also enjoyed many things in life, including spending time with his three grandsons, and working in his gun shop with his wife Kim. He loved to trade and swap things and make a good deal. He also had a passion for hunting and deep sea fishing. He also had a love for shooting guns at the North Berwick Rod and Gun Club, where he was a lifetime member. Wayne also worked at Prime Tanning in Berwick Maine for over 22 years. Wayne loved the outdoors and always encouraged his grandchildren to enjoy the outdoors as well. Wayne loved going to church at Milton Assembly of God, in Milton New Hampshire. He enjoyed taking car rides to Nubble Lighthouse in York Maine. Over the years Wayne enjoyed doing many things, including trips to Florida, and visiting friends. He lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his many loving friends, wife, daughter, son-in-law, and his 3 grandchildren. Surviving siblings include, sister Yvette Rose Chabot (Meattey) and husband Bill of Lebanon Maine, sister ShirleyAnn Jacques (Meattey) and Husband Jim of Berwick Maine, sister Lisa Marie Libby (Meattey) and Husband Tim of Lebanon, brother Brian Bruce Meattey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Predeceased son Mark Wayne Meattey, sister Cindy Lou Meattey, and brother Jim. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. with visitation to be held 1 hour prior in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester, N.H. 03867. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery on Cemetery Rd., Berwick, Maine.
