Another great day adventuring with my adjust, Patti Sorlie Johnston. Some minor errands in Manning and we were off to the Big City (Columbia) where the traffic is famously awful. Lunch at Tazikis, then a stop at Whole Foods. I have gotten the ingredients for the detox salad which is predominantly broccoli and cauliflower. I just hope it is not flatulence salad. (see The Big Bang - the Cruciferous Vegetation Amplification.) A stop by Starbux where Patti treated and included a chocolate cake pop for each of us. Okay, those suckers are off the chain but 1) $1.75 a piece (whaaaaat?) and 2) so rich it made my teeth hurt. At least the natural ones. Patti and I have taken a no sweets vow for just the month of January. This is a MUST DO. Sissy, are you picking up what Im putting Down? Then a stop at the liquor store so we could get vodka for our homemade vanilla extract project. It works, Im telling you. Patti also needed a half-pint bottle with a pretty label to turn into a soap dispenser. Dont ask. She chose Jack Daniels, the contents of which are now residing in a clean mayonnaise jar at my house. I feel a Jack and (diet) Ginger in my future. Tell me that doesnt count as sweets! Finally home to Manning with stops at Andersons, Cissys, Wally and CVS. Im beat. But it was so good to be out of the house and among the people. Next week is getting full already with lots of routine doctors appointments. What kind of idiot schedules a checkup two weeks after Christmas? This kind of idiot! Forgive me Father for I have sinned ... It was so delish! Love you all!
