Another interesting article in the Mercury this morning by Stefan Terblanche following up on my colleague and CEO Doug Mundells article in the Sunday Tribune on the concerns of the structures in South African rugby. Thanks Stefan and so so true about education AND more importantly THERE IS MORE TO RUGBY THAN JUST BUSINESS. A good read for sure. A nice article rugby writer Mike Greenaway about his club Amanzimtoti winning the Castle Mussay Cup as debutants in the Fidelity Security Premier Division. One correction though The Moor Cup is the oldest piece of rugby silverware in South Africa not the Murray Cup. The Murray Cup is in fact the oldest knockout competition in World Rugby. Well done to Jonsson College Rovers for winning the annual KZNRU Clubs Golf Day at Mount Edgecombe. What a team. Good luck to Rovers who play Upington for a place in the Cell C Community Cup to br played as the curtain raiser to the Currie Cup game between the Sharks and Griquas on Saturday at Growthpoint Kings Park. This has to be their biggest game of the season. AND GO THE SHARKS.
