Another interesting meeting with Town Council. Goforth raised arguments concerning the use and sale of Eleanor Park...again. More arguments about what property should be considered. Pete Bones response, You really beat that dead horse. The police chief spoke of the difficulties of 911 system being fed through Westmoreland and of a rented station next to a convenience store. Goforth responded with, Howd you like to work in a burned school? (This did not leave a fuzzy feeling with me or Jacie). Linda Brubaker brought up the sinking ship email stating this classification of the school was in response to things she was told by students re things that occurred on the HS campus which were not acted upon. When I asked why police werent notified of these reported incidents, the chief of police advised she was only recently made aware so they will be there next year to watch this. Mrs. Brubaker did approach me during recess and offered to meet with me, Jacie and any other concerned parents to discuss our concerns and ideas. I will be setting something up. Unfortunately there wasnt much information on the budget as that hasnt been finalized yet. The BUDGET HEARING IS MONDAY AT 6 PM!!! Please plan to be there!
