Another letter in the Journal about the proposed Costco. Despite the Save Dewitt theater folks disingenuous claims that they were never affiliated with our bigger picture efforts to protect and preserve North Auburns character, we have since removed a single tiny photo that they objected to. We were asked to do so only after they started to receive empty promises from one or two supervisors who do not like being called out for selling out north auburn. While we hope that the theater can be saved before their lease runs out in a few months, unless they obtain something in writing from the supervisors conditioning Costcos future approval (one plus year out) on co-existing with the theater, whatever they are hearing behind the scenes is little more than political lip service...until the bulldozers come. auburnjournal/article/7/31/14/reader-input-construct-local-costco-care
