Another poets thread, more miscommunication. Sooner or later ill learn that my silence is the narrow road i should walk when reading articles about poetry, poetics, and craft. Despite my desire to not pass judgement on how anyone else approaches the act of poetic composition; two thoughts always leap into my mind: Boy do i walk a different road; and, my God am i glad i escaped from academia 40 years ago. I was a round peg in a square hole then, and not much has changed. Ill leave it to others to respond to what passes through me. My job as a poet, is to write the next poem, and the one after that; not analyze the stuffing out of what im doing. Ill leave those mental exercises to the critics.
