Another point that Father Michael made on CD4, The Healing of Fear, The Healing of False Guilt is that Jesus does not leave us to our wounded selves. Fathe , in the midst of our troubles, you come to our aid. You do not help us before we have helped ourselves, but when we think we are at the end or our resources and cannot bear our burdens anymore, you lift us up, and then with you and because of you our courage and strength are renewed. And another thing: when reading Dear Father Michael, Father Michael advised one reader not to pray in the same way everyday, because it wasnt polite. After all, we dont say: How are you, what are you doing? everyday to a relative - they would think we had lost the plot. Think about it.
