Another serious question. I have recently taken in a washing-machine: a neighbours, twelve months old and replaced, and apparently in reasonable working order. The only obstacle to my using is an awkward and possibly (already) broken cold water tap: Landlord switched off both hot and cold water taps when I threw away the possessed washing machine, but there was a lot of cursing. This one, being a newish model, only requires the cold water to be connected. I have connected it but whilst I thought I had switched the tap on, there has been no forthcoming gurgling so far. Would it be astronomical to employ a plumber to examine said tap, or should I take a course? NB, As I havent seen said Landlord for months, and a call to ascertain how my rent stood remains unanswered, I must conclude that he is ISIS only Greek Orthodox volunteer.
