Another sweet legislative deal for the private prison industries. Apparently, our feckless leaders in Washington have mandated that at least 34,000 immigrant prisoners be in prison every day! Yep, you heard right. The Federal Government has a MANDATE that says Federal prisons or the immigration counterpart, must house 34,000 immigration prisoners each day. Guess who pays? The tax payers, of course. Guess who profits? The privitized prison industries.
