Another week passes and leaves us behind, landing, once again, as it always seems to... On a Thursday. Many of you will have seen in the last 24 hours, that the last 7 days isn’t the only thing leaving us, and in the passing of just a mere 7 sun rises, I am deeply saddened to say that the sun will finally set on Simmo Simmons (stupid name I know) time in Swansea. This is no eulogy though; there will be time for that next week. But his parting comments have become virtually viral in nature within hours, at the time of writing receiving no less that 560 odd likes... Why so many? Because Simmos carefully worded pro’s reminded us all (and by all I’m not including the current crop of Undergrads, I’m talking about those of us who left Uni some time ago) what Uni was all about for us. Reading it myself, I was transported back to the Sunny student village, Halim cooking up a storm on the BBQ, colder pint of cider in hand, maybe a few heading down the beach or to campus for a couple of cold pints before heading out for the night... What night am I talking about...? It didn’t matter. If the mood was right and there was a few of you up for a good time the world seemed your oyster despite only having the budget for crab sticks. It’s the same mood we strive to embrace every week at Sin Savers, it’s the mood that you need to have before you walk through the door... and if you haven’t got it, then you’ll soon catch it. So come one, come all... to the night that you’ll never get back. In just a few short hours it will be gone forever, faded, like the hairline of this week’s hero. The only question remaining is what will you do with tonight? Will you cast it aside, unused and ashamed... or will you make a choice, to make something of tonight, if nothing other than a memory, but perhaps more?
