Anxiety - This Month’s Autism 200 Class The next Autism 200 Series lecture will be Thursday, June 20th at Child and Adolescent Clinic (971-11th Avenue, Longview) from 7:00-8:30 pm. These classes are designed for parents, teachers and caregivers. The topics associated with the majority of classes are applicable to all age ranges and for a wide variety of children diagnosed with autism and other disabilities. This month’s class “Autism 206: Anxiety” will be led by Felice Orlich, clinical psychologist and Director of Community Outreach Services at the Seattle Children’s Autism Center and clinical associated professor in Psychiatry at the University of Washington. She will discuss issues related to anxiety commonly observed in children on the autism spectrum. How to identify signs of anxiety in children and strategies that have been developed to support children experiencing anxiety at home and in the classroom will be discussed. There is no need to register in advance to attend. Classes are open to the general public at no charge. Classes are teleconferenced from Seattle Children’s Hospital.
