Any input for her? I have been a loyal reader of your FB page, And have been a fan of yours for many years. I just want to take a minute to tell you what Im experiencing here in Europe. Im American (Wisconsin), by the way. Im 56, used to event in the US, studied dressage in Denmark, did all kinds of stuff. I have been trying to get a job here for almost a year--volunteer or paid--to muck out stalls, groom, so I can keep up my strength and continue to ride. (Dont have my own horse, but exercise horses for people when I can.) No one here on mainland Europe will give me a chance: they say Im too old! Too old to muck out stalls and groom. And they also told me Im too old to ride!! I know that the mind-set in the USA is different. But in Germany where I am now, they are so narrow-minded. I just dont give up. I would love to work at your place in Vermont, but dont have the funds to fly over. I hope to get to England (when Ive saved up enough money). If you know of anyone in England who events or hunts and wants a hardworking woman of 56 (strong and athletic), please let me know!! YOUR Page on FB inspires me each and every day. I hope that someday someone will give me a chance to work at their event/hunt yard, and so that I might be able to keep up riding too. I dont need to compete, Im quite happy just schooling horses and loving them!! Keep up the great posts and I love your photos!! Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Kind regards
