Anybody can fund terrorism, for any purpose whatsoever. I am less interested in the financiers. I am more interested in the foot soldiers, those twisted brains, who joyfully get financed for their assumed good deeds, who erroneously believe they are fighting a holy war and dreaming to go to paradise, and the institutional failure that gave birth to rise of misinterpretation of texts, theocratic fascism, at the expense of peace and community tranquility. If you are a Muslim, a non-partisan (PDP or APC) one, and you are so happy to be sharing the recent Australian negotiators verdict, why cant you pause and ask the following questions: (1) Did Alimoddu Sheriff and Ihjerikas funds transformed (metaphysically) to humans that are killing and maiming innocents souls, with chants of Allahu Akbar as motivating lyrics, (2) Were the killers imported from Ihjerikas home town, and not the heirs of the great Kanuri Empire -a supposed Islamic (peaceful) heritage (3) Why didnt they (the sponsors) give their money to other people of organized religion to carry out their political assignments, (4) What if nobody is available to carry out the assignment for Ali Modu Sheriff, or his ilk? Look inward to the system failure, the institutional collapse, the renaissance of the Khwarajites, the effect of islamizing contemporary politics, and/or politicizing Islamic law.
