Anymore, I hate this disreputable source of media (Huffington Post), but this is an article that I find quite worthy of sharing. Ive never been married, so I probably have no right to say anything... but this article brings to light a very important fact. We are human. We are not perfect. In light of these two facts, its worth saying the perfect marriage lies in the the acknowledgement that it IS NOT PERFECT. In this world of unrealistic pressure to be just that (perfect), you have to admit to yourself that the grass may indeed be greener on the other side... but it will also brown in the winter, and will stay that way without water and sunshine. Call me old fashioned, but I believe that marriage is something to be done, not tried. I think this article sheds a lot of light onto why trying fails. Its not commitment, or communication... at least thats not what I want to define my marriage (if it ever occurs). I just want to share a life with someone who is willing to share what we love about each other, and and leave each other out of the facets we cant appreciate in each other... WITHOUT the need to keep secrets, but WITH a trust that doesnt require approval.
