RIP Thor. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Pittsburgh woman accused of euthanizing someone elses dog to stand trial April 24, 2014 2:47 PM A Spring Hill-City View woman waived her preliminary hearing this afternoon on charges that she stole an ill mans dog and euthanized it -- and then she was handcuffed on citations pertaining to violations for a different dog. Gisele Paris, 57, was ordered to stand trial on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault, resisting arrest and cruelty to animals. Pittsburgh police said Ms. Paris stole a Siberian husky from Mark Boehler, 54, who has Stage III esophageal cancer, and had it euthanized. Mr. Boehler previously said his dog Thor had some health problems but nothing terminal, and he was making arrangements to ensure that they were all treated. Ms. Paris attorney, Robert Mielnicki, has said in the past that his client believed she was justified in everything she did. As Ms. Paris left the courtroom after waiving her hearing in that case, a state constable handcuffed her, saying there were three warrants for her. Ms. Paris did not speak to reporters. Mr. Boehler stood nearby and screamed, You should be on a leash, lady. Thanks a lot for killing my dog . Court records show that city animal control officers filed three summary offense charges against her in September 2013 for violations the month before. Court records show she has been charged with letting a dog run at large, failing to have a required license for a dog, and failing to have proof of a rabies vaccination. Officials said those charges do not stem from the dog Ms. Paris is accused of euthanizing. Mr. Mielnicki said he was angry that his client had been handcuffed and that his understanding is that the summonses stemming from those citations were sent to the wrong address.
