Anyone else find it odd that we have to pay to know things that other people know? Rather, we have to take out loans that collect interest to obtain knowledge that other people have obtained. And, generally speaking, arent we learning with the long-term goal of turning that knowledge into some sort of financial gain? Somehow that seems off to me. Pay money to learn to get money. Like an incredibly large get rich quick scheme, only really slow. I know there is obviously more to the education system, so relax. The thought just struck me as odd this morning. What if knowledge was free and available to everyone? And, in theory, if everyone could acquire the same level of knowledge wouldnt that change the focus from finances to pursuing the unexplored depths of Things to Know? Instead of, like, 8 people discovering new things we would possibly have an entire nation searching for the undiscovered. I guess what Im saying is.. What if there was a separation between knowledge and finances and society placed more value on furthering understanding as a whole than on things like money?
