Anyone got any idea who identified the colombian specimens we find in the hobby under the taxon Psalmopoeus emeraldus ? Pocock descriptions of P. emeraldus, P. ecclesiasticus and P. plantaris are built on physical description and carapace plus patella + tibia equations. The emeraldus pictures on Arachnoboards seem closer to the description of plantaris than the one of emeraldus to me. Of course, identification from pics is not possible but both species are from Colombia, so... Just was wondering who identified those specimens as emeraldus. Best regards, BEN.
