Anyone here had any dealings with the Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators (MIBFA) in South Africa? I have never come across a more unprofessional incompetent bunch of idiots in my life. Im trying to assist a fellow pensioner to claim his benefits. Ive dialled all the phone numbers supplied on the website countless times and was answered only once by Allison in the surplus department. She told me she doesnt deal with claims. When I told her she was the only person I had managed to speak to she simply told me I just have to keep trying. When I explained that I have dialled each number and held on till it stops ringing she said that wasnt her fault and told me to keep trying. I was lucky enough to get through to a bloody machine twice and held on for an operator for 10 minutes on both occasions. I have used a total of R78.80c of airtime and approximately an hour of my time. I decided we should e-mail them only to find they dont even have an e-mail address. I wonder why? My suggestion to MIBFA members is to get to the next Members General Meeting and fire all the Trustees and replace them with competent professionals. So who feeds the pensioner while he struggles to get his benefits? Wake-up MIBFA Trustees, your salaries are paid by members contributions. you should feel ashamed of yourselves making elderly people battle so hard to get their benefits.
