Anyone here remember this stuff? OK Soda...distributed by Coca Cola for a short time around 20 years ago, and Portland was one of some twenty cities nationwide selected for test marketing of this fruity flavored soft drink. Reminded me a lot of Surge meets orange pop. You either loved it or hated it. Seems like it sold in stores for around $1.99 a six-pack...and it only was around for maybe six months. Shown here is a pic of one of the four art designs of the cans...I believe this one is also the guy who did a few Sonic Youth album covers. Anyway...in Portland, there were vendors all over the downtown area on strategic street corners giving away cans of the stuff...offered from barrels filled with crushed ice inside. Living in Eastern Oregon, we would stock up on this stuff and sell it to the locals for dollars on the penny to college students. Crazy cult item this stuff was in its brief heyday...
