Anyone who practices a scientific technique of God-contact is a yogi… Paramahansa Yogananda There has been much on my radar these days in regards to the evils of the world... There are no shortage of bandwagons to get on, as there is no shortage of evil... However, as a yogi, I have been reluctant to take sides, as I know that ultimately, there are no sides AND I know that fighting something doesnt work either... in my conversation yesterday with Jennifer Bridges Buergermeister, founder of the Texas Yoga Conference, we both agreed that fighting the evils of Corporate America (that most definitely have infiltrated Yoga in America and beyond) is not the yogic way. Rather, as yogis, we must continue to promote the Good [God] in the World, along with the upbeat, uplifting and high vibrational aspects of what the Yogic Way brings to practitioners and yogis alike... It dawned on me this morning that if we do this... if we stay out of the fight and in the light, then Good will, and always has prevailed over evil... that evil will fall, literally imploding on itself of its own accord, as it cannot sustain itself, especially if it is met with Love (aka Good or God) (Example... one of many.) Then, I received the evidence that my choice is working... in this video, Founder of Lululemon, Chip Wilson... who has been under attack recently for numerous suspect business practices noted by some in the yoga community, takes himself down and quite possibly his company, with an off-the-cuff remark... our pants dont work for some womens bodies... LOL... note the stare-down he receives on camera by his wife... :-/ SO, this is a callout to the yoga community... YOGIS UNITE! Please stop casting aspersions within our ranks! Please stop fighting... ESPECIALLY amongst each other... Please stop bullying viewpoints at other yogis... There are many causes to get behind, it is true. The World is a messed up place right now, but for the Yogi, the most important cause is to go deeper within to free the Soul, to find the Truth and set the World free from the Ego-Mind drama that dominates our collective experience today... Lets HELP one another... Lets allow Good to prevail... A yogi engages himself in a definite, step-by-step procedure by which the body and mind are disciplined, and the soul liberated.
