Apante Natural Reserve In this tour we will hike to the top of Apante Mountain, part of a larger nature reserve, with the purpose of experiencing the live forest. You will be in touch with and learn about the flora & fauna that reside there. During the hike you will see a beautiful waterfall with a space for resting and relaxing alongside the water. The tour guide will explain to you the importance of the insects, trees, plants, and animals that you will see such as: Butterflies, Dragonflies, Spiders, Lizards, Mushrooms, Birds, Termites, Mango Trees, Pine Trees, and Barba de Viejo, a native tree. He will also tell you about the Legend of Apante Mountain and El Mico. The top of Apante Mountain is 1,080 meters/3,543 feet above sea level and culminates in an incredible view of the city of Mataglapa. Before the hike, your tour guide will show you some amazing murals painted by local artists. Difficulty: Medium (more on the downhill) Duration: 5 Hours Included: Guide, entrance fee and taxes to the Reserve, use of binoculars & some food (local fruits) and Chocolate or 1 guirila con crema y cuajada (local food).
