Apologies if people have misinterpreted my view on bare faced selfies. I have read the comments, some of them sadly quite abusive. What I would say is that I respect peoples freedom to do the selfie thing but please respect my freedom to ask the question why? I know money has been raised but Im not sure what awareness has been raised....we already know cancer exists and what really concerns me is what the image of no make up is actually representing . Can anyone say what the bare face is saying and why this was chosen ? I personally find the connotation distasteful....but ....if I am misinterpreting the bare face selfie and if someone can give me the answer why this was chosen then Ill apologise by upping my personal donations. Awareness is about education , there are lots of cancer sufferers past and present who campaign tirelessly even through their treatment to raise awareness through education and never feel the need to appear in social media .....if you want your personal cancer awareness raising then I am happy to describe in detail what happened to my daughter, the symptoms and build up to her diagnosis, her treatment and the subsequent ill health she suffers as a consequence. Ill educate you on the symptoms of her type of cancer and the treatment she still has and then you are welcome to share this. I am also ready to listen to your personal stories to widen my own understanding of the many types of Cancer and how to spot it and prevent it through a healthy lifestyle....thank you for listening.Im not going to post anymore about this but feel free to PM me.
