Apparently I didn’t make the cut with Final Draft. No, I didn’t get any feedback or even a notification that I wasn’t selected. Not that they said they would do either. This just popped up today and I saw I wasn’t on the list. I wasn’t under any delusions that being a finalist or even winning would guarantee seeing my script on the big screen. But somewhere nagging in the back of my mind it occurs to me at eventually I’m going to need some kind of validation if I’m going to stick with this. In the end it will only be a lot of time and money down the tubes for naught. Here’s hoping for better luck with American Zoetrope come February when they release their results. I think my writing is more in line with those San Fran hippies.
