Apparently there are protests against excessive police force planned for the Super Bowl. Im all for protests but I dont see anything positive coming from this. Maybe Im wrong but all I see happening is a majority of America being pissed off that their favorite major sporting event was disrupted. Which might actually hurt the cause, not help. If you want to see change then call and relentlessly protest your local, state, and federal government. Make them change the standards for use deadly force and over criminalization, and repeal the 1033 program. No one is going to be pissed off that you annoyed politicians or made their lives difficult because no one really likes them anyway. National protests that get attention are good but dont always lead to policy reform or work out the way you planned.
