Apparently theres a bunch of people wanting to get Colbert off the air because the comedian said something that offended a group of people according to other groups of people. If you think you have a right to not be offended, youre wrong. If you think you can go through life and expect not to be offended or chastised youd be delusional. If you think you have a right to say what has context and what doesnt, youre just pigeon-holing it. I know this isnt the status quo opinion, but if something offends you, suck it up and be the better person. In the long run, they will lose. Disagreeing with someones point of view is totally normal, but when you condemn someone for--in Colberts situation--making a joke, which is his job btw, then I have to ask who the real discriminator is. Freedom of speech doesnt stop at offensive rhetoric. Why? Because its a subjective thing. Id advise listening to what your mother told you as a kid: that sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. You give words power over you. Its up to you lol. Sorry, rant done.
