Position1: Senior remote Sensing Engineer (Contractual Basis) Scale of pay: 30,000 total emoluments/month Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Geoinformatics/M.Tech in Remote Sensing with fluency in English and smart corporate personality. Desirable Qualifications: • Working Capability with High resolution Satellite Imagery like World View I & II/Quick Bird/Ikonos imagery • LU/LC Mapping Experience at 1:1000 or lesser scale • Ability to handle DGPS survey • Strong knowledge of Arunachal Pradesh’s Geography and capacity to interact with people of different geographies. • Having a Minimum working experience of 2-4 years in the generic fields of Remote Sensing, GIS/IT. • Ability to speak, write and read English, Hindi and Assamese. Duties and Responsibilities: • Remote sensing data collection • Digital image processing hardware and software considerations • Image quality assessment • Image visualization techniques • Sample design for collection of ground truth data to be used in training and validation of land cover classifications • Image classification techniques • Thematic map accuracy assessments • Fluency with GIS analysis using ArcGIS or suitable open source GIS software platforms • Ability to interpret regulations and critically evaluate remote sensing and GIS deliverables for adherence to industry methodologies • Ability to perform data quality review on both raster and vector data formats to ensure data integrity • Knowledge of map projections and their implications on spatial data quality • Proficiency with converting spatial data between formats such as shape file, kml, raster, gpx, etc. • Aptitude for creating publication quality maps using GIS software • Ability to maintain professionalism in confrontational meetings • Ability to perform well under minimal supervision • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working under pressure to meet strict deadlines • Ability to communicate highly technical remote sensing and GIS concepts to coworkers with varying levels of technical expertise • Self motivated • Detail oriented • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities Position 2: Surveyor No. of Vacancies: 2 Nos. Essential Qualifications: B Tech/Diploma in Surveying Technology Desirable Qualifications: • Experience in handling GPS, DGPS, ETS, Auto level • Capability to generate high quality technical report • Ability to work in field • Ability to prepare technical drawings in AutoCAD environment • All technical calculations • Cartographic ability to generate maps with legend, title, northing, annotations, etc. • Capability to communicate in English and Hindi • Work Experience in North-Eastern Terrain Position 3: Assistant Surveyor No. of Vacancies: 2 Nos.
