Appreciate any assistance with this query.......Dear Unabhan staff, You helped me greatly during 2014 and I wonder if I could prevail upon you again for a contact at the Normal School. I am tracking my family history at Boyle. My Grandfather was a teacher in Boyle around 1900 and lived in Abbeystown, so I’m guessing he may have taught at the Normal School just up the road from you. I should be grateful for a contact there who might -have school records from that period. His name was Arthur John Gordon. He married Frances Graham from Boderica, Kilbryan (neither of which I can find on a map now) in 1896. They had 10 children in Boyle before he joined up to fight in WW1. They lived in Sligo St in what might have been a school house, but Frances had to leave that when Arthur went to the war and threw herself on the mercy of family in Belfast, where my father was born. Any connection you could give me at that school or elsewhere would be most gratefully received. All the best, Richard, Christchurch, New Zealand.
