April, 19 BJP’s idea of democracy: Those Opposed to their PM Candidate Should Go to Pakistan All his efforts to sound like a peace dove come to a naught when one of his lieutenants decided that they cant hold back and show their true colours. Truth has its own ways of coming out. BJP leader Giriraj Singh showcased what they mean by Nationalism when he said Opposition to making Mr Modi the Prime Minister may now be described as sedition. Shri Giriraj Singh, a senior BJP leader from Bihar, has threatened that anyone who has opposed Shri Modi will be sent to Pakistan after elections. Revealing his autocratic fantasy at a rally in Godda (Jharkhand) Shri Singh said, “Those who want to stop Narendra Modi (from becoming Prime Minister) are looking towards Pakistan. In the coming days, they will have no place in India. They will only have place in Pakistan. The BJP hasnt disowned Shri Singhs remarks. In fact, Shri Singh made these remarks in the presence of former BJP president Nitin Gadkari. So it seems that the party is in agreement with his views and we can presume BJP does have a ‘secret’ plan to send Modi’s critics to Pakistan, if they are ever elected to power. Shri Singh has a rather unpleasant history of making ridiculous public threats. Last year, he threatened the Chief Minister of Bihar that Shri Modi will kill him if “BJP loses” all 40 seats in that State. Today he said all Modi critics will be sent to Pakistan, without elaborating if he or his party were planning to re-write the constitution of India. But why blame Shri Singhs violent fantasies, when the BJPs Prime Ministerial candidate has time and again lowered the discourse. Recently, Shri Modi accused an honest and humble leader like Defence Minister Shri AK Antony of being a Pakistani agent and compared a leader to an assault rifle. The BJP’s top leadership has been trying to project a soft face and ‘sounding’ reasonable but when leaders like Giriraj Singh break the ranks, the true face does come out.
