Aradia - Italy - A woman said to be conceived from the union of Lucifer and Diana Queen of witches. She is considered Messiah of Witches who taught humans witchcraft. He believed it was a direct result of her efforts. She created a manuscript The ‘Gospel of Witches’ before she was caught by the Inquisition and burned. It was published in 1899 by C.G. Leland a folklorist. Walnut is her tree. Carya - Greek - The gift of prophecy was given to the three daughters of the King Dion and Queen Iphitea of Laconia by the God Apollo. Carya fell in love with Dionysus. Her sisters tried to prevent his affections toward her which betrayed a God. As a result she and her sisters were struck with madness by Dionysus. . They went to Mt. Tagyetus where her sisters became rocks, and Carya changed to the Walnut tree. She is also known as the lady of the Nut-tree.
