Are we making our people to become dependent upon this r that welfare progm. The potentials of our people r going to get paralysed.Whatever progm has so far been put in motion it has all gone to facilitate the people living in the cities. In the last ten yrs r so about 50 billion rupees hve been so expended to benefit the urbans.On the other hand an injustice has been going on with the small farmers and peasants. The prices of commodities(including those of the agro inputs) have gone to the sky by 600 to 700 times ever since 1964. but in the same period the price of wheat has increased only by 85 times. what do u think such an injustice is not affecting the socio economic condition of the people in the villages. this GOVT WHEAT SUPPORT PRICE MECHANISM has produced 11.7 crore poor people. so many poor people are more a burden on the national economy rather than actively participating in the national economic activity. how they r a burden?--- they r so poor that they can neither sell anything nor buy anything. such a large chunk of our population has caused a paralysis in our economy . how many poor people we shall keep generating so that we can give them those KHIDMAT CARDS.I hve carried out an analysis of this situation in my article titled PARALYSIS IN OUR NATIONAL ECONOMY. Let us stop taking pride in distributing more and more KHIDMAT CARDS and arrest the injustice being done to the small farmers and peasants ever since the fiftees.
