Are you an experienced Technical Architect looking for a great career opportunity? Our Client is currently running a Microsoft Lync 2010 proof of concept. The client is looking for a design and implementation plan for Lync 2013 which will be able to support approximately 30,000 seats. The project is currently in the envisioning stage and we are looking for a Senior Architect to lead the Lync 2013 design and implementation. This is a temp to hire position. After a period of 5 months the client will be looking to hire the candidate on a permanent full time basis. Great compensation, excellent career opportunity. Job Duties: • Work with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Lync Server 2013 • Assisted Microsoft Team to design and test Zero Touch Deployment Migration Solution (how to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 without decrypting the hard drive). • Trend Micro IM Security for Microsoft Lync and Trend Micro OfficeScan Server and Client for Retail and Wholesale. • NTLM v2 only implementation for Corporate Network using Windows 2008 NTLM Audit capabilities to mitigate risk • McAfee Solid Core for Windows 2000 Server. • IT Security Operations daily anti-virus operations (daily detections, reporting and incident response coordination); • Manage a team of 3 Analysts; • Reviewed and recommended patching or upgrades for existing anti-virus solutions (Trend Micro and McAfee); • Review anti-virus compliance reports and coordinated remediation. • Disaster Recovery , participated in DR Tests for mission critical applications; • Review DR Documentation. • Daily encryption operations • Manage a team of 2 Analysts • Review compliance reports and coordinates corrective actions • MS Security Patching responsibilities, monthly Security Patches release Microsoft and made recommendations to patch or not; coordinated deployment of MS Security Patches to Windows Servers; Vulnerability assessment and remediation. • Designing, implementing and managing large Microsoft Lync environments, working with SIP and IP telephony • Migrations from OCS 2007 / Lync 2010 to Microsoft Lync 2013 • Manage technical issues and set customer expectations • Regularly and effectively communicates with managers and executives on a business and technical level • Performing advanced technical troubleshooting and reviews and approves technical documentation Job Requirements: Software: • A minimum of 2 Years’ Experience with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Lync Server 2013 • Experience with Unified Communications and Lync Enterprise Voice • Experience in designing, implementing and managing large Microsoft Lync environments • Experience with SIP and IP telephony, migrations from OCS 2007 / Lync 2010 to Microsoft Lync 2013 and Windows PowerShell scripts • Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 technologies Personal Characteristics • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision • Ability to manage technical issues and set customer expectations • Strong communications skills, adaptable dealing with senior managers and executives on a business and technical level • Strong organization, time management, project management and negotiation skills • Ability to perform advanced technical troubleshooting Experience delivering and authoring technical documentation Current Microsoft certifications If you feel you have these qualities or think you may know someone with these qualities please contact me at afrcareers@donaldsonjames
