Are you aware of what happens in three days? The Youth Sports Safety Summit is happening in Washington DC. On Tuesday, March 11, the NATA will be hosting their annual Capitol Hill Day. It is my hope that you will be in attendance, but I realize that not every athletic trainer is able to attend. Your support of House Resolution 72 does not require your travel necessarily. Consider taking a moment this weekend to send an e-mail (you can access from the NATA site) or call your representative on Monday to let them know about the Youth Sports Safety Summit or to voice your support for House Resolution 72. If you know others that may be interest in receiving updates you can add them to the group. It is exciting to know that athletic trainers are taking the lead to protect our youth athletes. Our impact can be felt in Washington, but it will take an army.
