Are you looking for reliable, quality child care with decent rates? I have a low ratio, licensed family child care home located just minutes north of I90, West of Randall Rd. in Carpentersville. I offer quality child care in a family environment, with dedicated child care space, for children ages 3 months to 12 years. I offer full-time, part-time, before/after school, and drop in child care. With an emphasis on exploration and creation, the children have many opportunities during the day, both indoors and out, to engage in art, science, literacy, math, dramatic play, and self-directed open ended play. My program has a developmentally appropriate approach to helping children learn and master new skills. I offer learning activities that align with the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines Birth to 3 and Illinois Early Learning & Development Standards for Preschool ages 3-5. My philosophy is that children learn through play and this is a big part of our day. Learning about colors, shapes, ABC’s, 123’s, cutting and using glue, name recognition and social skills happen throughout our day as well as at our activity time. The children enjoy a balanced day with consistent and predictable routines. I work within an accredited curriculum and use Jolly Phonics. I have been licensed through DCFS since 1994, earned my CDA, am a NAFCC Accredited and a 3 star rated home and provider on the Illinois Quality Counts Quality Rating System. Health and safety are a priority. I am ECO Friendly® and a Let’s Move Child Care®. I participate in the USDA Food Program. Breakfast, lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are served during consistent meal times. Meals are home cooked, healthy and nutritionally balanced following USDA Guidelines. My home is 100% smoke free and my backyard is fully fenced. Currently, I have an opening for ages 1 and up.
