Our New Horizons PHaMs Employment program is seeking a full-time Aboriginal Community Support Worker, to join their team in Gosford. Your role as a Community Support Worker is critical in helping our clients to achieve success, often calling on you to use your innovation and flexibility to get the job done. No two days are alike, but every day is rewarding! You will be responsible for: • Working with a case load of clients to achieve identified employment goals; • Providing individual support to clients; • Completing detailed notes on client progress and achievements; • Contributing the team projects and reporting on program success. Our ideal person will have: • Identify as Aboriginal; • A passion to help people; • Hands on work experience working with people with mental health issues, with a focus on employment • Qualifications, or a willingness to study, in Mental Health • A can do attitude and a professional approach to working as a part of a team. As this role provides support to clients in their community, all our CSW’s must have a valid drivers licence and successfully complete a Australian Federal Police Check prior to commencing with us. Due to the nature of this role, applicants are required to be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
