Are you ready for some change? A nice Sunday evening for Anchorage and Southcentral. However Monday will start us out with mixed rain-snow showers here and there and we might make it to 40. By afternoon, temperatures are falling and the chances of accumulating snow is increasing. Monday evening could see the start of a 1-3 inch snowfall for Anchorage and other sections of the Kenai Peninsula. Matanuska-Susitna Valley could see 2-4 inches of snow. The atmospheric features that are combining to create this spring snow are colder air to our west, an upper level trough digging south and east over the region and ample moisture at the surface to create the snow/rain.
