Are you trusting in God’s promises? AS FOR THE PROMISE WHICH I MADE YOU WHEN YOU CAME OUT OF EGYPT, MY SPIRIT IS ABIDING IN YOUR MIDST; DO NOT FEAR! HAGGAI 2:5) It is in God’s Word that you find His promises. This promise is empowered by the Person of the Holy Spirit, Whom is steadfast in our midst. However, unlike the day of Haggai, the Holy Spirit not only dwells in our midst, but He has made His home in our hearts. Not as Immanuel stated, “God is with us” when Jesus walked the earth but even better, “God is in us”. When we study the Bible and allow those truths to lead our life, we come to know God and how He wants us to live, positioning us directly under His waterfall of blessing. We also learn the depth that God was willing to go to in order to show His love for us. He gave us His Son, and Jesus was our willing sacrifice. If you do not understand God’s word, you will never know the extent to which God went to save you. This knowledge will deepen your love and gratitude for His unfailing love. Perfect love casts out fear. Representing God properly in the world is another major responsibility you have as an ambassador of Christ. Others should be able to look at your life and see the peace and joy you have found in God, thereby emboldening them to walk with Him. The whole world lives in fear. However, if you will stand out and live a life of faith, you can lead them to a life in Christ; the only true life. Through the teaching and training of God’s Word, you can expose the enemy for the liar that he is. You can shine the light of God’s truth directly upon Satan’s deception and his lies will lose their power.
