Area MLA Lachen Mangan, TW Lepcha meets with public of five wards of Mangan Bazaar MANGAN, November, 23: Area MLA, Lachen-Mangan constituency, Tshering Wongdi Lepcha holds meeting with all the public of five wards under Mangan Nagar Panchayat of Mangan bazaar, North district on November 22nd. The programme was attended by MNP Councilors, Karma Jigdal Bhutia, PK Malu, Zangmoo Bhutia and others, the programme was attended by senior citizens, business community, youths and members of chelli morcha. The programme started with welcome address by Councilor, MNP (President), KJ Bhutia. The public highlighted in open discussion that the new water tank situated above Mangan Post office which has been completed a year back for water supply provision for Mangan bazaar but still it is not under function and supply should be started to fulfill the demands at earliest. Maintenance of road link towards lower Mangan bazaar should also be carried up, construction of Durga Mandir beside new taxi stand, Muslim community demanded for approval of suitable site for the grave yard at earliest. The upper Mangan bazaar, Pentok ward resident demanded for one Police booth setup at Pentok for proper patrolling in the area and upper bazaar, chelli morcha demanded for exposure tour to Kolkatta. Area MLA, Lachen-Mangan in his address assured that, the maintenance works and water supply problems will be solved at earliest and about the Durga Mandir and site for grave yard will be discussed with the government and department officers for approval at earliest. And he also informed that, the government is trying best to develop Mangan bazaar and provide necessary projection for the area in phase wise. He also, informed that those who holds voter ID cards, their names should be shortlisted by councilors for the provision of free schemes and grants in upcoming Janta Mela 2013. MLA also informed that, Chief Minister had announced to provide 35 kgs of rice to APL ration card holder, one member from one family holding ration card at Rs. 2 per kg and sugar should also be provided to ration card holders by MPCS. He also informed them to share their problems directly so that, the matter can be taken up for the consideration at earliest.
