Ariana Grande on hair extensions The singer has explained to those commenting on her hair, that the reason she has extension is to hide her real hair, which is so damaged from dyeing and bleaching it so much for her role on Nickelodeon. She says that her hair is broken and looks absurd. The star also confirms that she has tried other alternatives in the past including wigs and weaves. She is currently in the process of letting her natural hair grow out. This is similar to Jennifer Lawrence who recently had her hair cut into a pixie crop after it was so damaged form having to dye it regular for the Hunger Games. Hair extension however may not be the best option for allowing the hair to re-grow as the extensions themselves can be damaging to the hair causing issues such as traction alopecia.
