I am looking forward to this Saturday, when we will begin implementing the first step of a new strategy. We will begin holding the monthly first fruits meetings in Sendai. For the past three years, we’ve held these celebrations in Sano. But Teddy, Mike, and all I felt it was time for a shift. After confirming with Chuck Pierce, we began to move ahead with the transition.Not only is Sendai the largest city in northeast Japan, but many of you will also remember that it was the central point of the 3/11 tsunami disaster. It really is a gateway city for the whole region. Our two Arise 5 churches in Sendai will host these monthly first fruits gatherings.The content of each monthly Saturday meeting will include the following: • Prophetic and apostolic training (many in the region are expressing a desire for such training) • Lots of ministry (prophecy, healing, and deliverance) • Celebration of first fruits. Our meetings will be open to all, including many new believers and contacts from the tsunami-affected areas. I also believe that we will establish an apostolic center. One of the key functions of apostolic centers is that apostles and apostolic believers join together to secure an open heaven for the region. Then, Satanic forces (“the prince of the power of the air” [Eph. 2:2]) are bound and the good news begins to spread rapidly. This is what Paul meant by saying “the word of the Lord may run swiftly” (2 Thess. 3:1).This open heaven is gained by apostolic anointing (Zech. 1:18–21), by ministering prophetically (Ezek. 37:7–10), by ministering healing and deliverance (Luke 10:17–23), through worship (Ps. 149), and by ministering to the Lord (Acts 13:1–3).So, pray with us and for us. Also, it is interesting to note that this new strategy begins during this Hebrew month of Kislev, of which one of the main points is gaining new strategy from the Lord.
