Army Family Action Plan Conference Oct. 9 – 10, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Humphreys Community Fitness Center. AFAP is the Army’s grassroots process to identify and elevate the most significant quality of life issues impacting Soldiers (all components), retirees, DA civilians and Families to senior leaders for action. Information provided through the AFAP process gives commanders and leaders insight into current satisfaction detractors, quality of life needs, and expectations of Army constituents. Leadership uses the information to affect changes that improve standards of living and support programs. These changes foster a satisfied, informed and resilient Army community. How Does AFAP Work? 1. You tell us what you think – submit your ideas, concerns, or suggestions in by: a) Filling out a form, located around the garrison, and droppoing it in an AFAP Issue Box, delivering it to the ACS office or returning it by email to [email protected] or b) Visit myarmyonesource and select AFAP Issue Management System. 2. AFAP listens and acts – once an issue is received, it is reviewed, tracked and submitted for action at the USAG Humphreys annual AFAP Conference. 3. Together we find a solution – although some issues take time or are proven unattainable, every issue is reviewed, monitored and tracked until a resolution is found. Most issues can be handled locally and are sent to the appropriate directorate for resolution. Issues beyond the scope of USAG-Humphreys or the Pacific Region may then be forwarded on to the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) AFAP Conference. Final deadline for delegate applications is Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. and deadline for AFAP issues and is Friday, Sept. 27, 5 p.m. at the Main ACS, Bldg. 311.
