Around 2008, 2007, 2006 etc when i knew nothing about social medias like hi-five, facebook etc_ my main hobby then whenever i am free or bored, was typing two to four pages of text messages with a question on the said text; then send it to people who might give me a reasonable answer... In 2007 or 2008, during the late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yaraduas tenure as the commander in chief of this self acclaimed giant of Africa, with nothing to show for it except population density, coupled with the militant era in South-South geopolitical zone: i sent a text message to two of my departmental guys, Sir Edet and Sir Chinedu Anayokafor, to know their respective views on the issue of militancy and seven point agenda of the then president Yaradua_ On militancy, Sir Edet John (much respect to this genius) replied my text and these were his exact words_ Quest my brother, paradise in Niger Delta may seem a mirage and the price for disarmament exorbitant, but i have a dream that it is comtemporary to that of Marthin Luther King Junior. Nice one. Here comes a guru, Sir Chinedus exact opinion on seven point agenda_ Quest, everybody is entitled to his own view but to me, the seven point agenda is quite efficacious if tenaciously notured. That is by the way... In 2009 or thereabout, i joined facebook and my flaire to send sms messages with questions naturaly went into extinction_ However, on 2010 during the governorship election that gave the incumbent governor, Mr Obi, a second chance to lead; a friend who is a business tycoon, Sir Solace, sent me a text message to inquire my unusual silence as to why i dont message him anymore_ He infact hammered me a question, since i refuted to ask, requesting my view on Anambra politricks as regards to the then election. My reply_ Sir, i dont know the best person to govern Anambra state but my candid advice to anyone who triumph in the guber race is to be magnanimous in victory while the loosers soft pedal with galant gestures so that democracy can thrive in the state that pride itself as light of the nation. Sir Solace was like, i like this guy, i think i agree with you Chika because the virus of magnanimity and goodwill in politics is entrenched in the value system of its founders who recognise that no man is good enough to govern another without his consent. Ok i am sorry to bore you guys with all that but this goes to all of you, Anambrarians, who post pictures of your choosen candidate for the Anambra November six election in your walls, without explaining why we must vote for your candidate. Pictures alone wont do the magic, the right magic wand lies in words_ written or spoken! Now this update is my text message to you all once again_ Remind us your candidate again and the reason why you want Anambrarians to vote for him or her? Details please, so as to convince us - Nevertheless, God is in control; stay safe, One House..!!
