Around this time exactly 21years ago a man gave his last breath.Cause of death was tracheal obstruction due to fractured mandible caused by a road accident.One Dr Hardy confirmed his death,right there in Ward B8,Parirenyatwa Hospital.The man was in his mid-thirties and had a young family.The inevitable tide of death came and swept away my father.I dont even know him,for he departed to the world yonder when I was still a baby.All my life I have been holding onto this imagination of a dark,quiet man with intelligent eyes.Well,all said and done I think all those uncles who gave me fatherly love deserve longer life.VanaDaddy,it was nt my right to get what you gave me but a priviledge.I dont have words to describe my gratitude.Sometimes I behaved like a brat but you were patient with me.I wish that other light,tall,intelligent man was here to read this but he too answered the proverbial call from heaven.Its been 21years without memories dad but I still cherish every story mum tells me about you.R.I.P Murambwi.
