Arrived in Minneapolis yesterday to discover that my suitcase had remained at Charles de Gaulle - never mind that I arrived for check-in almost 3 hours early. They assured me it was scheduled for the same flight today and I would receive it tonight. I just called to check on it and was informed it was sent by mistake from CDG to SID instead of CID. She said yes, it went to Cape Verde. Due to her accent I thought she was saying Camp Verde. I said you mean in Arizona? She said no, its a little island off Africa. My suitcase is now freaking sitting in Africa. Too bad it didnt go to the other side of Africa… Chet could have picked it up for me. The next flight back to CDG is on Monday. The Delta lady is so certain that I will see it again that she almost has me convinced. This is a good one. Anyway, happy to be home… luggage or not.
