Arrogance is the complete opposite of confidence. Like positive and negative numbers, like 3 and -3, like 100 and -100. A confident persons self-esteem does not depend on what others think of them. An arrogant person, on the contrary, would do whatever it takes to avoid any risk of falling off that ivory tower they built for themselves. A confident person is honest and spontaneous; an arrogant one brings others down to appear to be on top. Unfortunately, we often mistake arrogance for confidence...just the way we used to at times forget a - in secondary school...5 or -5...
