Art Challenge Day 1 I was nominated by dear friend Suzanne S Hall to join this social media movement to share, encourage and inspire others thru our love of art & craft. I have never really considered myself an artist but rather a designer, craftsman and collector. It is thru the works of talented artists that I am inspired to somehow create my own work…..whether it be thru a simple drawing, a sculptural form or a photograph that captivates the senses. Having grown up in a family of building contractors on both sides of my family I was soon fascinated at an early age by the creation of buildings and spaces. I found myself at that young age dreaming thru a sheet of paper and my #2 pencil….. and at age 50 I still do. This simple pencil drawing of a stone bridge was done in 1994 when I was an Interior Design student at AIU in Atlanta. It is “my copy” of a famous work of art . Happy Throwback Thursday too!
