Articles like this are really frustrating and misleading. Yes, leafy greens contain oxalates... but for the average person to get any negative affect from these oxalates, they would have to eat TONS of leafy greens every single day. How do you prevent over consumption of oxalates? Well... first of all, rotate your greens! Dont get stuck on the same leafy green weekly, variety is key. And second, dont over-consume leafy greens (everything in moderation, right? too much of anything can hurt your health)... made right, one green smoothie a day wont hurt you! But... 3 green smoothies, a huge raw spinach salad and a side of kale chips a day, might. Balance balance balance. Ive seen green smoothies drastically improve so many peoples health, and they are an amazing way to incorporate vegetables in for picky eaters! What do you think?
